Our Financial Rules
1. Our nursery school is a business and therefore, just like any other business, we have monthly obligations that must be met.
E.g. Groceries, Electricity, Taxes, Salaries, PAYE, UIF, Bonuses, Maintenance, Improvements, etc.
2. School fees MUST be paid in full on or before the 3rd of each month.
School fees, registration fees and deposit MUST be paid in full on or before the 1st school day in January.
We prefer electronic payments but if parents want to pay cash they can make arrangements with us.
Please use your child's name and surname as a reference.
3. Arear payments and fines.
If we do not pay a payment by the morning of the 4th of the month, your toddler / s will unfortunately not be accepted at the school.
You will be required to arrange for alternative supervision until full payment and fines have been received.Fines on arrears will be R200.00 per day and will be payable together with the outstanding fees.
** You will forfeit the full deposit if no payment (full school fees and fines) is received before the 10th of the month.
We will receive your toddler / s back to school as soon as we receive your full deposit, outstanding fees and penalties.
4. What do we use the registration fees for?
In most families we find that both parents are working and do not necessarily have the time or opportunity to make regular purchases for the toddler's tasks / assignments, etc. So we purchases in large measure for the parents and thereby also get a discounts.
Purchases include the following but are not limited to stationery, art materials, educational materials, hygienic soap for hands / floors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, sunblock, paper, photocopiers, face cloths, towels, blankets, mattress covers, and laundry for the year).
5. What do we use the deposit for?
In the past, we believed parents will honor their financial responsibilities to the school, but unfortunately we found that less than 30% of parents pay school fees for December. This loss of income has a tremendous impact on service delivery and job security.
We collect December's fees with the enrollment fees in January to ensure our school and staff have job security and the upcoming year's students and parents have quality equipment and services at their disposal.
6. When can I give notice?
All parents must notify us one month in advance.
On the last working day of the month, eg. from 31 January to 30 September.
Your deposit / December fee will be used for your notices monthly fees.
Unfortunately, we can not accept a notice in October for November or December of the same year.
If you give notice in October for November or December, you will not be entitled to recover the deposit.
